Reviews
Cineteca hosted part of the International Documentary Festival during my visit. I watched several films that I was pleased with. Cineteca is comprised of several studios inside a sprawling repurpose factory. One of it's spaces is a restaurant with a patio. The set-up is very nice. Cineteca is very accessable by public transportation. Wi-fi is available on the premises and you can order tickets online.
One of the best movie theatres in Madrid! A hidden gem with a very interesting programme
Fantastic little theatre with cheap tickets showing indie movies, documentaries, art house type stuff. El Matadero is a unique and cool cultural complex as well.
I really like the whole Matadero atmosphere and design, and the Cineteca is part of it. The room is not very big, but big enough as most of the films are not main stream any way. The seats are comfortable and the screen is big enough for the size of the room. The sound and image are good quality. Sometimes the choice of films is a bit disappointing, but to find a place with original version (indie) films is always a good thing!

Impressive cinema showing films in VO with Spanish subtitles. The larger Sala Azcona has great image and sound
